Brigid McEvoy

Registered Psychotherapist

Everyone goes through tough times—whether it’s life stressors, past trauma, or struggles with mood—and I know how overwhelming it can be. My focus is to help clients shift their perspective, develop practical tools to manage emotions, and create a life that feels more fulfilling and aligned with their values.

My clinical style is built on fostering a trusting therapeutic relationship and making clients feel comfortable to open up and feel understood.  My focus is on building connections through empathy, warmth, humor, and honesty. Sessions with me are meant to be a collaborative space for us to develop a unique path and pace of treatment that best suits your needs. My aim is always to be approachable, authentic and give you a space to work on your concerns by drawing from a range of therapeutic approaches depending on what you need, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), and more

My clinical interests focus on supporting individuals who are navigating the effects of trauma, life disruptions, personal growth and relationship challenges. I have a particular passion for helping people work through past experiences that may be impacting their ability to form secure, healthy relationships with themselves and others. Additionally, I have an interest in couples therapy, helping partners rebuild connection and communication while addressing issues such as trust, conflict, and intimacy.

If you’re looking for a therapist who can listen, understand, and offer guidance rooted in science-backed practices, I’d be happy to connect.
